Aang Beanie and Momo the Flying Lemur

I was so excited to make a baby shower gift for a good friend who I have known since forever! Was pleased with the outcome and made sure I wrote everything I did down for later so I can make them again if I need to.
Can't wait to meet their baby "Aang" haha.

Here's what I did, you might like to have a go too. Feel free to ask any questions if anything doesn't make sense. Also remember to be careful about copyright laws, this is to appreciate The Last Airbender series, not to make money from it.

Happy hooking :)

Tips for sewing together

Use a darning needle, and polyester filling. Extra white 8ply is needed for the ears.

I stitched the pieces of the body together first, then the pieces of the head together. And then I joined the head to the body.

Body

First I stuffed the legs/feet and embroidered a couple lines on each foot to make toes.

Then I attached the legs to the body.

Stuff the body and sew the grey stripes on each side. They should start at the top of the body and come part way down the legs.

Attach the tail.

Sew the arms so they rest over the grey side stripes.

Stuff the body.

Head

Embroider Momo's eyes to the grey face piece. Use black 8ply to make a nose and mouth.

Then attach the face to the head.

Stuff the head before you attach the ears to make sure the sit how you want them to.

Sew the inner ears into the centre of the white ear parts using the long grey thread.

Attach the ears to the head.

Cut small strands of white 8 ply and attach them individually to the spot where the ears meet the head. Trim to shape.

Lastly attach the head to the body.
