Crochet Prem Baby Clothes

My second little boy surprised me by popping out at 30 weeks! He was teeny tiny and needed very small clothes when he came out of his incubator. I quickly whipped this vest and these booties up for him to keep him toasty and warm...

Crochet baby vest. Prem size.

Work in back loop only. 3.5mm hook, I used drops merino cotton blend

1. Ch 47(47)

2. Hdc in third chain from hook, 44 hdc.ch2 turn(45)

3 - 5. 45 hdc, ch 2 turn (45)

6. - 13. 35 hdc, ch 2 turn (35)

14. 35 hdc, 10 ch, ch 2 turn (45)

15. - 17. 45 hdc, ch 2 turn (45)

18. 45 hdc, turn (45)

19. Ch 12, join on 13th hdc in from edge, 33 hdc, ch 2 turn (45)

20. - 23. 45 hdc, ch 2 turn (45)

24. - 31.40 hdc, ch 2 turn (40)

32. 40 hdc, 5 ch, ch 2 turn (45)

33. - 36. 45 hdc, ch 2 turn (45)

37. 12 sl st, 33 hdc, ch 2 turn (33)

38. 33 sl st joining together with the other edge of the vest, ch and finish off.

Use sl st to join the tops of the shoulders. Weave in any loose ends.

Booties (make 2 lol)

Fold work in half, join the edges with 6 sl st. Start working in rounds.

3. - 5. 12 hdc (12)

Sl st to finish.

Turn inside out and sl st together the bottom seam. Sew in loose threads. Turn work back the right way.
